As you are aware, significant restrictions have been placed on gatherings throughout our state. The restrictions are meant to curb the spread of the COVID-19 virus. These restrictions have a direct impact on many of the services and events that we hold and enjoy as a Gateway community.
In response to these temporary restrictions, we are suspending the following services this week, for an indefinite time period expected to last several weeks:
The Variety Tour event that was scheduled for April 20th in the Shelton High School auditorium has been cancelled. If you purchased tickets for this fun event, then you will be refunded.
We are a community that cares for one another! During this unique time, let’s show that care by staying in touch, reaching out to one another, and staying refreshed in Jesus. If you have needs or concerns, we want to hear from you. You can submit prayer requests by going to gatewaycf.com and clicking on the “Prayer Request” link. In addition, our church offices will be open with pastors and staff present. Stay tuned into our website, Facebook page and email for updated information.
Finally, we ask that you PRAY. Pray for health and healing in our community, nation and world. Most significantly, pray for revival in the hearts of people everywhere. In all things, God is good and is full of mercy and grace.
Philippians 4:19 (ESV) – “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”
Love in Christ,
The Gateway Team
We value all relationships and are glad to have lifelong friendships. All are welcome to come, develop friendships, belong and grow in our spiritual walk together, in Christ.
Families are important, and we want to help every family become Christ-centered. Our Church values family life, encouraging the strength and growth of families through Biblical teaching and building healthy relationships.
The “next generation” is unique and ready to be infused with the life of God. Our GO-Kids ministry meets weekly on Sundays and Wednesdays to impart life into the children.
In an emerging season of discovering life, friends and spiritual values, youth need teaching, encouragement, love and friendship. Lifeline youth meets regularly on Wednesday evenings at 7:00pm, and in other planned activities and periodic conferences.
We support our young adults in this important phase of preparation for education, career, and lifetime commitments. We stand with them for spiritual guidance and advancement.
Our church has a robust group of healthy seniors. This ministry is called FOCUS (50+) and gathers regularly for fellowship and support. There are many opportunities for mentoring, relationship building, and service.
All ladies can benefit from nurturing relationships, whether single, married, younger, older, or at any phase of life. Gateway desires to see women encouraged, strengthened, and operating in God’s full potential for their lives.
We love the challenge of men living fully for the Lord as Champions for faith, family and community. Men are accepted and encouraged to become strong leaders and Godly examples. Men need friendships, support and coaching with mutual relationships in the body of Christ.
First things first: God loves you. He wants a relationship with you, and it begins by accepting the gift of salvation available through Jesus Christ. Make Jesus the King of your life, accept his FREE gift of salvation and life, and join the journey of learning what it really means to live life to the fullest!
When you accept Jesus Christ as your personal King and Savior, it's reason to rejoice! Baptism is a step of public declaration that you've turned away from your old life and are now walking with Christ, in newness of life. The old is gone, the new has begun!
Membership is all about belonging. It's good to belong. It means we are more than just acquaintances. We're friends. We're family. We've got each other's back and we are committed to helping one another grow in Jesus Christ.
Discipleship is where true growth happens. If you aren't being discipled or helping somebody become a disciple, you are missing out on the great commission! Discipleship happens in our Wednesday night Growth Groups, in Small Groups, in classes and in spending time with other believers.
